The Nobel Committee decided to award the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize to Narges Mohammadi, a civil activist and political prisoner. The reason for awarding this award is Narges Mohammadi’s campaign against the oppression of “women in Iran and in line with promoting human rights and freedom for all”.
Narges Mohammadi has fought against gender apartheid, death penalty and discrimination against minorities for more than 25 years and has paid a huge price in this way. The awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Narges Mohammadi was formed with the slogan “Women_Life_Freedom” and this means recognizing the struggle of the Iranian people for the realization of their fundamental rights.
The WELL Women’s Leadership Training Organization congratulated Narges Mohammadi on the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize and hopes that this award will draw more attention from the international community to the struggle of the Iranian people for the realization of fundamental human rights.
